Vision Casting LetterMay 2009
Dear Ladies,
The trustees met for our annual Come Apart to seek God’s direction and vision for the future of Joy of Abiding. Since 2002, the year JOA was born, we have set aside times to pray and discuss the ministry and mission God has called us to.
We praise God for His provision thus far:
-Seven Advances at The Cove in Asheville
-Seven Come Apart Times in Columbia
-Two Israel Study Tours
-A JOA Study in a maximum security women’s prison in Columbia
-Numerous opportunities to teach the Bible at women’s conferences around the nation
-A first international women’s conference in Moldova in 2008
God has blessed Joy of Abiding beyond our expectations. He continues supplying financially and spiritually, as well as calling people to serve Him through this ministry.
We are very grateful for each woman who has served so joyfully. Recently a need arose when Mandy Roberts felt it was time to resign as a trustee and chair of the board. Already God had prepared Donna Campbell and Leslie Tuller to serve as trustees who have been entrusted to guide the ministry. They stepped into their positions in March.
As we seek to join God where He is working, we are preparing for future Bible study opportunities including Come Apart Times, Advances, other conferences at home and overseas as well as study tours in Israel. Many volunteers are investing their time, talents and money to accomplish the mission and vision God has given JOA, to faithfully teach God’s Word to women who come to know the joy of abiding in Christ and produce spiritual fruit that remains.
Thank you for allowing us to cast the vision we believe God has given us for this season. Plan to join us for upcoming JOA Bible study opportunities. Also, tell others what God is doing at Joy of Abiding
Joyfully Abiding with great expectation!
The JOA Trustees
