God Met with us at the Fall Come Apart Time!

September 12th proved to be a wonderful time apart with the Lord for the ladies who attend the Come Apart Time on the campus of Columbia International University.  Months of prayer, planning and study preceded the conference.  When I arrived in Hoke auditorium early Saturday morning the prayer team was praying over every seat.  Then they gathered to pray for me and each person leading the conference.  And soon the ladies began arriving as the place filled with expectant chatter.  What a morning it was!

Soon we were engrossed in worship through music and Bible study, entering into the courts of the King of Kings.  Camping in the book of Esther we recalled how God strategically used Esther to impact His plan for the ages in some of the bleakest times for her people.  God stirred out hearts as we considered the issues that impact our world today, recognizing that the enemy threatens today even as Haman did 2500 years ago.

For the first time, a man spoke at a Joy of Abiding conference.  Foster Christy led the final session after lunch, challenging each lady from Genesis 3 and Ephesians 5.  A time of surrender and commitment followed as women gathered for confession and prayer.

God moved, His Word transformed and we went away changed.

We are so grateful for the partnership Joy of Abiding had with Christ Church of the Carolinas and Columbia International University to make the conference possible.
